Principal's Message
Dear Chaparral Community,
Welcome back to another exciting school year at Chaparral! I am eager to embark on another year of learning, growth, and community building. As we step into this new academic year, I am filled with enthusiasm and optimism for the wonderful experiences and achievements that lie ahead.
First and foremost, I want to extend a warm welcome to all our new families who are joining us this year. We are thrilled to have you as part of our school community and look forward to the contributions and unique perspectives you will bring. To our returning families, it is a pleasure to welcome you back and to continue the journey of educating and nurturing our students together.
Our dedicated and talented staff have been working diligently over the summer to prepare for the upcoming year. Classrooms have been arranged, construction to our campus is on schedule, and new programs and initiatives have been designed to enhance our students' educational experiences. We are committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment where every child can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
This year, we are excited to introduce several new programs and improvements:
- Makerspace/STEAM Education: Thanks to our amazing PFC and Donor Drive, we are in the process of creating our Makerspace classroom and curriculum that will focus on Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math where students will participate in hands-on projects and real-world problem-solving activities.
- Social-Emotional Learning (SEL): We are expanding our SEL program to support our students in developing crucial life skills such as empathy, resilience, and effective communication.
- Community Outreach Initiatives: We are launching new initiatives to strengthen our connection with the local community, including volunteer opportunities, family engagement events, and partnerships with local organizations.
Parents and families, your involvement is crucial to our success. We deeply value your partnership and encourage you to stay engaged with your child’s education. Whether through volunteering, attending school events, or simply reinforcing learning at home, your support is vital in creating a thriving educational environment. Your participation and feedback are invaluable as we work together to create the best possible educational experience for our students. Students, I am thrilled to see your eager faces and to witness your curiosity and enthusiasm. Remember that each of you brings something unique and valuable to our school community. I encourage you to embrace every opportunity to learn, make new friends, and challenge yourselves to be the best you can be.
