Principal's Message
I am delighted to serve the families, faculty, and staff of my alma mater, Chaparral Elementary School. After attending LVUSD schools from K-12, I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Education, with a Minor in Communications, from Arizona State University (Go Sun Devils). I then attended Pepperdine University (Go Waves), where I earned a Masters of Education with an Emphasis in Instructional Leadership. While attending Pepperdine, I taught general education classes, but quickly realized my passion for special education, which was then confirmed upon joining the LVUSD family in 2007. I taught special education for 10 years, transitioned to the role of a case manager for our moderate/severe population, and then joined the Calabasas High School’s administrative team in 2019. Furthermore, I am also a part-time lecturer at Channel Islands. I am so excited and honored to return back home to the elementary setting at the same school I began my own academic journey!
When I’m not at work, my family (along with our 20ish-year-old dog) enjoys hiking, swimming, going to the beach, and cheering at soccer and basketball games. I am looking forward to having dance parties and celebrating so many achievements with all of my Chaparral Cubs!
