Principal's Message

Welcome to Chaparral Elementary School! 

At Chaparral, we believe every child deserves a safe, supportive, and inspiring environment where they are encouraged to learn, grow, and discover their unique talents. Our dedicated staff is committed to providing an exceptional educational experience that nurtures academic excellence while promoting creativity, kindness, resilience, and a lifelong love of learning.

Our students benefit from engaging, hands-on learning experiences that extend beyond the traditional classroom. From our expanding Makerspace and STEAM opportunities to our growing Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA) program, we strive to inspire curiosity, innovation, and self-expression. We are equally committed to supporting the whole child through social-emotional learning, helping students develop the confidence, empathy, and problem-solving skills they need to succeed both in school and in life.

 One of Chaparral's greatest strengths is our strong partnership with families. We know that when schools and families work together, students thrive. Whether you're volunteering on campus, attending school events, supporting learning at home, or participating through our outstanding Parent Faculty Club, your involvement helps make Chaparral the special place it is. 

Furthermore, Chaparral is a community built on relationships. We are committed to ensuring every student feels valued, respected, challenged, and supported each day they walk through our doors. Together, we create an environment where students are empowered to take risks, embrace new opportunities, and become compassionate, confident learners.

Serving as Chaparral's principal is truly an honor. When I'm not spending time with our amazing students, staff, and families, you can often find me cheering on my three children (along with many other Cubs) from the sidelines of a soccer field, enjoying a good book, or swimming with my very adorable and much-loved Golden Retriever, Charlie.
